What Would Life Be Like If You Were Unable To:
- read a newspaper
- complete a job application
- apply for a driver's license
- read to your children
- follow written medical instructions
- read nutrition labels or cooking instructions
- actively participate as an informed citizen in the political process?
This is the reality for one in four adults living in Syracuse.

Donations and Gifts: Corporate Sponsorships
Corporate Opportunities Include:
THE FIVE TO NINE: The Five to Nine, an art and wine social targeting downtown businesses, the art community and Armory Square patrons, is an annual event that features live music and a silent auction of artwork and fine goods from over 50 local artists. The event raises awareness about the adult literacy needs in Onondaga County, raises funds to support adult literacy services, and engages community members to become involved as volunteers.
CORPORATE BREAKFAST: The Annual Corporate Breakfast features a Keynote speaker and testimonials from LVGS students and tutors. Corporate supporters have the opportunity to join with members of the adult education and literacy community, to forge future partnerships that support unified literacy efforts. The relationship between the local economy and literacy is a critical one. A community must invest its efforts in cultivating a competitive workforce to attract new businesses, and adult literacy skills are essential.
Call LVGS to receive our Corporate Opportunities Package that illustrates the various levels that your company can participate at our events. We count on your support!
